Among faculty members of the University there are more than 55 Doctors of Science, about 300 Candidates of Science, 15 Meritorious Science Workers of Russian Federation in the spheres of science, engineering, education and culture, 7 State Prize Winners and RF Government Winners, 19 Full-Members and Corresponding Members of various public academies, 3 Honorable Chemists, 21 Honorable Workers of Higher Professional Education of Russia.

Academic activities

The basic principles of teaching are: the application of progressive teaching methods; use of experience gained both by domestic and foreign educational establishments, of advanced science and technology achivements. We persue education according to the new curricula which provides training of highly qualified specialists capable of adapting to the labour market.

Practically all innovative educational programmes available in the system of higher education of Russia are being realised at ISUCT: traditional higher education, basic higher education (bachelorship), mastership, postgraduate course, doctorate, second higher education, supplementary education, retraining and professional skills improvement.

Training is effected in accordance with full-time and shortened term of study.

The student body of ISUCT is 3000 students of the regular course and 700 at correspondence one. Training of specialists at ISUCT is realized in accordance with integrated educational scheme. There has been organised Chemical Lyceum. Some 100 pupils are granted lyceum-leaving certificates every year. Most of them connect their future with chemistry. ISUCT is one of the founders of several lyceums organized on the basis of secondary schools providing general education. Higher Chemistry College (HCC) founded in cooperation with the Russian Academy of Science offers students 9 Master's Degree programmes. HCC graduates take their post-graduate courses in the leading research centres of Russia and abroad. Senior students write their term papers and diploma projects at the largest enterprises of chemical industry and research institutes of Russia and abroad.

Graduate and undergraduate students of ISUCT are oriented to choose from a wide spectrum of programmes of supplementary professional training. These programmes guarantee them high level of professional training and, hence, increase their opportunities for making career, a better life and prosperity.
